Especially when one considers that Indian cricket has had its share of ludicrous administrators (Lele’s Chronicles: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and finally, 5) making vague statements and even vaguer policies. And while the government has tried its best to be part of this madness, it has missed out often. But no more! Since starting to fight for “what is rightfully theirs”, i.e. the cricket feed Nimbus paid for, Priya Ranjan Das Munshi has been close to challenging J Y Lele in the madness meter!
With effect from the second ODI between India and the West Indies, Nimbus and Prasar Bharati have finally agreed to share the feed with a seven-minute delay. All this after Nimbus being called unpatriotic and the likes. Tut tut. DD can’t make money and cannot bear anyone else making it either. Anyways, that’s a rant for another time.
However, what this ruling means is that most Internet sites would update the score faster than Doordarshan. So, someone watching DD would know the score later than someone watching the game on Neo Sports (of Nimbus) or following it on the Internet or listening to the radio.
All I need to know now, is whether the betting dudes follow DD or Neo. And then, I shall be rich. Hahahahaha. Well, I can try.

[...] That’s not the bad part, though. I mean, thanks to the Hathway digital box, the picture quality is so good, that even DD won’t believe it’s DD! But the problem is they seem to miss out on replays. Not always, but sometimes. Now the telecast is seven-minutes delayed and all that, but why are they missing out on the replays?!? [...]
